AB POS SOLUTIONS, INC.
CORPORATE COOKIE POLICY
This Corporate Cookie Policy describes the practices of AB POS Solutions, Inc. ("AB POS," "we," "us," or "our") regarding cookies and comparable tracking technologies deployed through the websites, portals, ordering environments, and online services identified below, together with their authorized subdomains and webpages that link to this Policy (each a "Site" and collectively, the "Digital Properties"). It explains the technologies we may use, the corporate, operational, security, and commercial purposes they support, the circumstances in which third parties may receive information, and the controls available to visitors and authorized users.
This Policy forms part of AB POS's broader privacy and information-governance framework and should be read together with the applicable Privacy Statement, terms of service, merchant agreement, partner agreement, and other notices presented within a Digital Property. It does not replace contractual privacy, confidentiality, data-processing, payment-security, or information-security obligations applicable to merchants, partners, employees, applicants, customers, or authorized platform users.
Where a merchant-operated website, digital ordering environment, mobile application, partner portal, or third-party service displays a separate privacy or cookie notice, that notice may govern the applicable environment. AB POS merchants and business partners remain independently responsible for the notices, consents, and legal obligations arising from their own data practices unless a written agreement expressly provides otherwise.

This Policy applies to the following AB POS Digital Properties when operated or controlled by AB POS Solutions, Inc.:

The inclusion of a domain in this section does not mean that every cookie category described in this Policy is used on every Digital Property. Cookie deployment depends on the features, audience, security requirements, provider integrations, and configuration of the applicable Site. The Cookie Settings interface presented on each Site is intended to provide the controls and available information relevant to that specific environment.
2. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device when you visit a website. Cookies may be set directly by AB POS ("first-party cookies") or by service providers and other third parties whose technologies are used on the Site ("third-party cookies").
We may also use pixels, web beacons, tags, local storage, software development kits, and similar technologies. In this Policy, we refer to these technologies collectively as "cookies."
Session cookies generally expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain for a defined period or until you delete them. The exact duration may vary by cookie and is made available through the Cookie Settings tool where technically available.
3. Corporate Privacy and Data-Governance Principles
AB POS manages cookie technologies within a risk-based privacy and information-governance framework. Our objective is to limit collection and use to information reasonably necessary and proportionate to operate, secure, evaluate, and improve the Site; administer requested services; satisfy legal obligations; and support authorized business activities.
In administering cookies and similar technologies, AB POS seeks to apply the following principles:
- purpose limitation: cookie-derived information should be used for disclosed and legitimate purposes;
- data minimization: collection should be limited to information reasonably necessary for the applicable function;
- choice and transparency: optional technologies should be described and controlled through an accessible consent mechanism where required;
- vendor oversight: providers with access to cookie-derived information should be subject to appropriate contractual, confidentiality, security, and use restrictions;
- retention discipline: information should not be retained longer than reasonably necessary for its documented purpose; and
- security and accountability: access, configuration, and material changes should be governed through appropriate technical and organizational controls.
4. Categories of Cookies We May Use
Strictly Necessary Cookies. These cookies are required for the Site to operate or to provide a feature you request. They may support page navigation, security, fraud prevention, network management, authentication, load balancing, form submission, and storage of your privacy preferences. Because these cookies are necessary, they generally cannot be disabled through our Cookie Settings tool.
Functional Cookies. These cookies remember choices and settings, such as language, region, display preferences, or information entered during a session. They may also enable features such as webchat or customer-support tools. If you reject these cookies, certain functions may not operate properly.
Analytics and Performance Cookies. These cookies help us understand how visitors use the Site, measure traffic and performance, identify errors, and improve our content and services. Information may include pages viewed, referral sources, browser and device information, approximate location derived from an IP address, and interactions with Site features.
Advertising and Targeting Cookies. Subject to applicable law and your choices, these cookies may be used to measure campaigns, limit advertising frequency, personalize advertising, or understand activity over time and across websites or services. They may be set by advertising, social-media, or analytics partners and may associate browsing activity with a browser, device, or account.
Social Media Cookies. Social-media features or embedded content may allow the applicable platform to recognize your browser or device and collect information about your interaction with the Site, including when you do not actively use the feature. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own privacy notices.
5. Authorized Business Purposes
Depending on the cookie and your preferences, we may use cookies to:
- operate, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the Site;
- remember selections and consent preferences;
- enable requested features, including forms, account access, and webchat;
- measure Site traffic, usage, reliability, and effectiveness;
- improve Site design, content, products, and services;
- detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
- measure marketing campaigns and, where permitted, provide or support personalized advertising; and
- comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
6. Legal Basis and Consent Administration
AB POS relies on the legal basis appropriate to the jurisdiction and processing activity. Strictly necessary technologies may be used to operate, secure, or deliver a Site function requested by the visitor. Optional analytics, functional, advertising, targeting, or social-media technologies are activated based on consent where consent is required by applicable law. In other circumstances, processing may be based on a legitimate business purpose or another legally recognized basis, subject to applicable rights and restrictions.
When consent is required, AB POS intends for the consent interface to provide a clear affirmative choice. The absence of a selection, continued browsing, or closure of the banner will not be treated as consent where applicable law requires an affirmative act. AB POS may maintain a record of consent selections, withdrawal, timestamp, region, browser or device identifier, and policy version for compliance, security, and audit purposes.
7. Service Providers, Business Partners, and Third-Party Technologies
AB POS may authorize service providers and business partners to deploy or access cookies solely for defined corporate functions, including hosting, cybersecurity, fraud prevention, system administration, analytics, customer support, social-media functionality, advertising, and campaign measurement. Our existing Privacy Statement identifies Google Analytics as a technology that may be used. Depending on the provider and configuration, third parties may process identifiers, device information, approximate location, referral information, and Site interaction data under their own privacy notices.
AB POS seeks to apply reasonable vendor diligence and contractual controls proportionate to the nature of the service and information involved. Such controls may address confidentiality, information security, permitted processing, data retention, incident notification, legal compliance, and deletion or return of information. Nevertheless, AB POS does not control cookies deployed independently after a visitor leaves the Site or interacts directly with an external platform.
AB POS may also disclose cookie-derived information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful process, protect rights or systems, investigate fraud or security events, enforce agreements, or evaluate or complete a merger, financing, reorganization, acquisition, sale of assets, or comparable corporate transaction, subject to applicable confidentiality and legal requirements.
The providers, cookie names, purposes, configurations, and retention periods used on the Site may change as our technology and vendor relationships evolve. The Cookie Settings tool, when displayed, is intended to provide the most current available inventory and controls for optional cookies.
8. Your Cookie Choices and Withdrawal of Consent
Cookie Settings. When the consent banner or Cookie Settings link is available, you may accept all cookies, reject optional cookies, or select permitted categories. Rejecting optional cookies does not disable cookies that are strictly necessary to provide the Site or a service you request. You may revisit Cookie Settings to change or withdraw your choices.
Browser and Device Controls. Most browsers allow you to block, restrict, or delete cookies. Browser settings differ, so consult your browser's help documentation. Blocking all cookies may prevent the Site, account features, forms, webchat, or other services from operating correctly.
Opt-Out Preference Signals. Where required by applicable law and supported by our systems, we will process recognized universal opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out of qualifying targeted advertising, sale, or sharing for the browser or device from which the signal is sent.
Advertising Choices. Some advertising providers and industry groups offer additional opt-out tools. These tools are controlled by third parties and may use cookies to remember an opt-out preference. Disabling cookies may affect the persistence of that preference.
Effect of Withdrawal. Withdrawal applies prospectively and does not affect processing that occurred before the preference was changed. A new browser, device, private-browsing session, deletion of cookies, or material change to the Site may require you to renew your selection.
Do Not Track. Because browsers and industry participants do not apply a uniform interpretation to traditional Do Not Track signals, the Site may not respond to such signals unless required by law. This does not limit our obligation to process a legally recognized universal opt-out mechanism where applicable.
9. Personal Data, Sale, Sharing, and Privacy Rights
Cookie information may constitute personal data or personal information under applicable law when it identifies, relates to, describes, or can reasonably be linked to an individual, household, browser, or device. Depending on your state or country of residence and subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, portability, and the ability to opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, sharing, or profiling activities.
Maryland residents may have rights under the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act, including rights to confirm processing, access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of covered personal data, and to opt out of qualifying targeted advertising, sale of personal data, and certain profiling. AB POS will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
The terms "sale," "share," and "targeted advertising" have specific meanings under certain privacy laws. A disclosure to an analytics, advertising, or social-media provider may be treated differently depending on the applicable statute, contractual restrictions, and technical configuration. Nothing in this Policy is intended to characterize a particular activity as a statutory sale or sharing when the legal definition is not satisfied. Where a covered activity occurs, AB POS will provide the notice and opt-out mechanism required by applicable law.
To submit a privacy request or appeal a decision concerning a prior request, contact us at info@abpos.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" or "Privacy Appeal." We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. Additional details are available in our Privacy Statement at https://abpos.com/terms.
10. Children and Minors
The Site is intended for business and general audiences and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly use cookies to serve targeted advertising to individuals we know or should know are under eighteen (18) where prohibited by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us through the Site, contact info@abpos.com.
11. Retention, Security, and Access Controls
Cookie retention varies by purpose, provider, configuration, and user choice. AB POS retains cookie-derived information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the documented business purpose, comply with law or contractual requirements, resolve disputes, preserve audit evidence, investigate security events, or protect the Site and our services. Aggregated or de-identified information may be retained where permitted by law and where it cannot reasonably be linked to an identifiable person.
AB POS applies reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature and sensitivity of the information. Measures may include access limitations, authentication, logging, encryption where appropriate, vendor controls, configuration management, incident-response procedures, and periodic review. No internet transmission, storage system, or security control can guarantee absolute security.
12. Corporate Governance and Policy Administration
Responsibility for this Policy is administered through AB POS's privacy, legal, compliance, information-security, marketing, and technology functions, as applicable. Material deployment of a new cookie category or a material change in purpose should be evaluated for notice, consent, vendor, security, retention, and regulatory implications before production use.
AB POS may periodically review cookie configurations, consent records, vendor relationships, and policy disclosures. The operation of these controls may be documented through internal records appropriate to the risk, legal requirement, and technology involved. Employees and contractors authorized to administer Site technologies are expected to follow applicable AB POS policies and access restrictions.
13. Changes to This Corporate Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our technologies, practices, services, or legal obligations. We will post the revised Policy on the Site and update the "Last Updated" date. If required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before materially changing how optional cookies are used.
